  Enjoyed our stay at this secluded retreat. Great hike to secret swimming hole. Lodge was clean comfortable and had everything we needed. Drive from Coromandel is challenging and has long winding gravel sections...so fuel up and have the appropriate vehicle. Restaurant cafe is excellent and very fair pricing.

  Excellent retreat, very peaceful and lovely atmosphere. If you are doing Coromandel Coastal Walkway from Sandy bay to Fletcher bay, then highly recommend to stay at this place. As a bonus, walk through nearby stream to get to swim hole is amazing. The air was so pure, you could feel it. Unlike coastal resort with bit of salty air, the air here had some freshness to it. The deluxe 2 bedroom apartment was brilliant. Each was far enough to feel like a private chalet. Chalet had everything. Breakfast in the morning outside the apartment was priceless. Make sure you request for one with bathtub outside ( I think unit 14). Although we didn't use it, I am sure it would be fun. Spa was really cool, sort of hidden inside bushes and trees - it is free. Felt like an overseas trip experience. Finally if you are here for kiwi make sure to do a night walk with red torch. We didn't see one not did the walk, but when sat outside definitely heard male kiwi calling a few times. ramanan arampamoorthy
